How you can help
Volunteering
Volunteering with Georgetown Village is a great way to build a sense of connection with your community. A variety of volunteer opportunities is available for individuals of any age. Contact us if you are interested in volunteering now or in the future.
Volunteers can:
- Drive members to appointments
- Serve as a med-pal during doctor visits
- Help with grocery shopping
- Visit members in their homes
- Plant or weed a garden or water plants
- Change a smoke alarm battery or light bulb
- Help program a TV, VCR,or phone,
- Offer computer support or IT help
- Work in the office
- Organize social or cultural events
Our cherished volunteers are vital to the success of Georgetown Village. Each volunteer brings unique skills, abilities, and experiences. We work with our volunteers to find good matches. Volunteering should be a rewarding experience, and you are always free to decline any requests for help that do not fit into your schedule or interests.
We ask that our members and volunteers abide by our Privacy Policy and Volunteer Code of Ethics. This helps establish appropriate boundaries and respect the privacy of our members.
Opportunities for Giving
Your donations help support our programs and keep costs down for members. Any amount is appreciated, a list of Donor Recognition Opportunities are available on our Donor Opportunities Page. You will receive a thank you note appropriate for tax purposes, Georgetown Village is a 501(c)3 charitable organization.
Georgetown Village is also happy to accept donations of office supplies or equipment.
